About Elham Jalilian

Elham completed her law degree at the University of Tehran in Iran. Wishing to broaden her horizons, she pursued her master's degree in law with a focus on international law and human rights at McGill University in Montreal.

After graduation, Elham started working as a legal assistant at a busy immigration law firm in Montreal. Soon after, she discovered her passion for working with people and solving complex legal issues. So she moved to Vancouver and pursued an LLM in Common Law at the University of British Columbia. In the course of her studies, Elham provided free legal advice to the disadvantaged as part of the Law Students' Legal Advice Program.

Upon graduation, Elham articled and worked as a Policy Analyst at WorkSafeBC, where she assisted injured workers and gained significant legal research and writing experience.

Interested in human dynamics and solving complex legal issues, Elham decided to pursue her legal career in family and immigration law at Sodagar Nielsen Law Group. Having worked with vulnerable clients from diverse backgrounds in the course of her career, Elham brings compassion and empathy to her practice.

In her free time, Elham enjoys reading thrillers, hiking, trying new coffee shops and road trips to remote areas.
